Produce
Our produce is USDA Certified Organic. We strive to have healthy and vibrant soil which in turn yields great tasting food. Our certifying agent in Ohio Ecological Food and Farm Association (OEFFA).
Pigs
The pigs enjoy themselves rooting around in the fields and woodlots. Finding them resting deep in the woods is a sight to behold which is only second to walking in the woods with the snorting pigs following close by. Raising pigs outside and moving them regularly and providing them with free choice non-GMO feed produces exceptionally flavored pork.
Chickens
Raised on pasture, the chickens get exercise, fresh air, and sunshine making for exceptional flavor. They have access to grass, bugs, and free choice non-GMO feed. Moving the chickens to fresh pasture daily fertilizes the pasture and avoids the concentration of manure which can pollute the land and water.
Eggs
More than free range, our laying hens are pasture-raised. Studies show eggs from chickens raised on pasture are more nutritious than factory farm eggs and contain more vitamins A, D and E, beta carotene and polyunsaturated omega-3 fatty acids and less saturated fat. Pastured chickens are better for the environment because they are moved to fresh pasture to range freely. These eggs put the sun back in sunny-side up and are always fresh. The hens have access to free choice non-GMO feed.
