The chicks come in the mail!

The chicks are a day old when they arrive at the post office. From there they are placed in our brooder until they are old enough to go on pasture in chicken tractors which usually occurs at three weeks.

Raised on pasture from start to finish.

Once the chickens are out on fresh pasture, they eat bugs, grass, forbs, worms, and non-GMO Kraut Creek chicken feed.

Each morning, the chickens are moved to a new spot on pasture. This allows free access to fresh grass and bugs. We’ve filmed and explained how we move them and why!

In this video, we’ll explain the importance of moving the chickens each day, and we’ll show you how we move them.

We’ll give a view inside the chicken tractors once the chickens have been moved to fresh pasture. We’ll also explain what the chickens have access to each and every day.

We’ll show you what it looks like from inside the chicken tractors as we move the chickens.

And, sometimes, the chickens will get loose when we move them!
